另一方面，3GS 比起 iPhone 4 只平了 HK$900，似乎沒太大吸引力呵~

Apple Probes Complaints About iOS4 on iPhone 3G

Apple is investigating reports that the latest iPhone operating system causes problems for users of the iPhone 3G, after a series of complaints on Apple support forums and technology blogs. Apple is aware of the reports and is looking into the matter, a spokeswoman told Digits.

Reports of the problems have been overshadowed by “Antennagate” — complaints about the iPhone 4 antenna that led Apple to issue free cases to all buyers. But since the iOS 4 software became available in late June, user concerns have surfaced on Apple forums.

The most common criticism is that the phone is slow after an upgrade. There are also many complaints that the phone drains the battery quickly and becomes excessively hot. Concern about general problems such as slowness and battery life on gadgets isn’t unusual, but using iOS 4 on the iPhone 3G seems to make the problems so bad that the phone is nearly unusable for some people.

“This phone has gone from being a dream to constantly annoying me. Not a way to make friends. I would upgrade to an iPhone4, but I’m feeling pretty angry that Apple has forced my hand by making my 3G unusable,” wrote a user on an Apple support forums thread titled “iPhone 3G slow after update to iOS4.”

Apple’s latest iPhone operating system is powerful, and the iPhone 3G is two years old at this point. The new operating system isn’t compatible at all with the earliest version of the iPhone — but it is supposed to be compatible with the 3G and 3GS, although some features, like multitasking, won’t work on the 3G.

On Monday, the Mobile Gadgeteer blog on ZDNet said Apple should advise against upgrading the iPhone 3G. The Unofficial Apple Weblog told readers who hadn’t upgraded yet: “DON’T UPDATE YOUR iPHONE 3G TO iOS4!”

Compounding the problem is that downgrading the phone to the old operating system after upgrading to the new one isn’t easy. Some blogs have instructions, but those aren’t supported by Apple. And another option — restoring the phone to factory settings — removes information you’ve saved on your phone.

Apple Online Store 昨夜一口氣更新了很多東西，最多人留意的當然是 iPad，原因是不用再去排隊，輕輕鬆鬆按幾個鍵便可以購得，還可以一口氣選擇相關的配件。

我也打算去按幾個鍵，但用家將不會是我，我暫未有太大的使用興趣。看看誰會是該幸運兒啦！嘻嘻！

另一件比較意外的產品，就是 Magic Trackpad！長期使用 notebook trackpad 的我，一直想找一件可用於 desktop 的 trackpad，但市面上一直未見有這樣的產品。想不到 Apple 終於製造了它！現在，Magic Mouse 可以不考慮了，當我現用的 Wireless Mighty Mouse 壽終正寢時，Magic Trackpad 一定會出現在我的檯面上！

iPhone「越獄」

一直以來都有人爭論 Jailbreak 合法與否的問題，美國政府終於在昨天公佈了，在公平使用原則下，Jailbreak 在某程度上並不違法。

但 Apple 回應說 Jailbreak 是會 void warranty 的！是否要「越獄」，你要自己想想了！

“Apple’s goal has always been to insure that our customers have a great experience with their iPhone and we know that jailbreaking can severely degrade the experience. As we’ve said before, the vast majority of customers do not jailbreak their iPhones as this can violate the warranty and can cause the iPhone to become unstable and not work reliably.”

年前也玩過這玩意，好像做至第四周便支持不住，失敗了，不能達標去到一百下，但就應該過了五十。

今天見 AppShopper 提示減價，便一口氣買下 Hundred Pushups 及 200 Situps，以便平衡一下心理及生理。看今次又能否成功！

iPhone 3G 上的 iOS 4

看完片段，會心微笑，一模一樣的，但片段裡的 iPhone 仍未 Jailbreak，而我的就已經咩咩了！不過我就用得很開心，你呢？

忙碌

近日確是非常忙碌，個案一單緊接一單，令腦筋填塞，對大部份事物也減了與趣，就連 Twitter 及 Facebook 也不想上。

但是「忙」就是否一個理直氣壯的理由去逃避及推卻工作呢？當然不可能啦，它只是一個自欺欺人的擋箭牌，人人皆知。若我情願去寫網誌、看 Google Reader、上 Twitter，多天也不願意花三數分鐘來回覆電話及跟進訊息時，即是說你的生意對我並不重要，我不想接，我幫不了你什麼，明白吧！你專重我時我會雙倍專重你，做了幾十年人，真有點欷歔。

我依舊會說我近日很忙！！

流動電話的迷思

不要以為我是一個經常更換手機的人，我所用過的手機，最短時間的一部也不會少於一年，記憶中用得最久的，要算是 Nokia 的 8810，用了足足六個年頭！

使用了流動電話二十年，算一算，總共只用過十部不同的手機，也不算多吧。包括：(你認得幾多部？)

NEC (雪條棍型天線，型號忘了)，是最重的一部，想重看當年的賣魚佬廣告，但 Youtube 卻找不到

Nokia 2110 (最貴的一部 $$$，比起現用的 iPhone 3G 16GB 貴超過一倍)

Ericsson GH388 (磁力最強的一部)

Nokia 8810 (最細小最喜歡並用得最久的一部)

Nokia 8310 (第一部可以換殼的手機)

Nokia 6230 (第一部彩屏機)

Treo 650 (第一部智能電話)

Treo 680 (用了 Treo 650 後因為藍牙問題而決定更換的電話)

Palm Centro (現在只淨半條命，接十個電話個有七會 hang 機，不要以為我拒接你電話)

iPhone 3G (不用多說，沒有它連上廁也不暢順，現在等 AppleCare 到期... 之後就... 嘿嘿 )

網絡商方面，除第一部 NEC 及現在的 iPhone 3G 是使用和記電訊外，從 1994 年起便一直使用 CSL 1010。為何用它？因為當年無論是網絡質素或是覆蓋範圍，它也是稱冠，而且當年它有一個政策，就是使用了服務四年或以上的老主顧，每年皆可以五折的訂價購買當時的任何款式手機，要知道當年並無零機價呵。另一個考慮點，就是當年並無攜號轉台服務，因此便一直保留戶口至今！

iPhone 4 會是一部我必換的手機，所以近日一直留意將會提供服務的供應商及將會開出的台費價格，而吹來吹去的也只是 3HK 及數碼通，皆因它們也是上一代的 iPhone 3GS 的供應商。

昨日在網絡上突然流傳說 CSL 亦將如 3HK 及數碼通般供應 iPhone 4。看罷消息後確是有點高慶，因它始終是我用得最久的服務供應商，有點情意結，但亦明白網絡消息只可信五成，所謂無相無真相。

但想不到今早便收到 1010 發出的電郵~ wow~

多一個選擇始終是好事，唯 CSL 近年的網絡質數差了很多，而 3HK 及數碼通亦不見得好，幸我並不急於換機，待服務推出了市場後看看情況先再作打算吧。

經過 reboot 後，便又可以用回強勁的 iAcces！(有無留意，只是幾分鐘，訊號便由滿格的 3G 跳到只得三格的 2G，這便是 3HK 的魔術 =.=! )

USB 旅行叉電器

出門公幹，最頭痛就是要準備不同的火牛，去給身邊的小玩意叉叉電。多得 USB 的出現，很多身邊的電子用品已可以經 USB 來供電，不需使用又大又相對重的火牛。但 USB 叉電器往往只能給一件器材充電，實在不足以應付我的用量。

幸得好友的幫忙，借出這個極正極方便的 1+4x USB 旅行叉電器，給我在這兩星期的外訪途中使用。

台灣大哥大 ﹣ 3G

每次出門，第一件煩腦事便是要考慮如何使用最低的價錢以保持不斷的網路連接。

多得好友指導，一步進桃園機場的接機大堂，第一時間便走到右邊的電訊商櫃位，向台灣大哥大出一張 3G 預付卡，承惠 NT$345，折合約港幣85。

此卡可配合 iPhone，使用 3G 上網，無流量限制，只要選擇合用方案，費用便會自預付金中扣除，即時可用。經櫃位的接待小姐溫柔的介紹後，我選擇了 3 日型，即 72 小時的計量。

扣除費用後，仍有餘錢打十來分鐘的長途。電話卡有效期六個月，比你的入臺證還要長呀！

電話卡基本上一插即用，若不想自行開通上網部份，也可以找溫柔的接待小姐幫幫忙唷。

iPhone 唯一要設定的，就只有將 APN 一項的內容改為 "Internet"

有無限量的上網卡，我那會不好好的利用它呢？！台灣大哥大的 3G 網絡確是非常穩定，配合 iPhone 的 Internet Tethering，我的 MBA 基本上未有使用過酒店內的 LAN，隨時將它經藍牙連接到 iPhone，輕輕鬆鬆上網去！

iOS 4 JB 再下海

用了差不多一星期的原 iOS 4，對它了解多了，發覺仍有部份 Apps 在支援上仍有不足，好像 MotionX GPS，基本上是用不到，最嚴重是它會無故將 iPhone reboot，而重啟時間亦比起 3.1.2 時長了很多！

這星期參考過各網站對 iOS 4 的 JB 資料後，發現原來我第一次 JB 後出現的遲緩問題，並不關乎於 JB，很多非 JB 用家在更新後也有相同情況。於是，昨夜回港後第一時間再下海！

午夜前正式開始動手術

今次使用剛更新的 RedSn0w 0.9.5b5-5 來 JB，前後不到十分鐘便已完工

第一時間當然是加回最重要的 SBSetting！未知是否之前沒有留意，SB Toggle 多了個 “Data” switch，可以隨時關閉 iPhone 的 data 流量！

今次我只選了 “Enable multitasking"，放棄了 Wallpaper。今早試用了多個小時後，覺得現在的速度及返應絕對可以接受，更有丁點喜出望外！現只等待 iAcces 將於本星期內發放 iOS 4 合用的 iAcces HD 版本。

在更新上 iOS 4 後，有一點意外的，就是將本來已儲得滿滿的空間，一下子放出了 3GB 多的儲存容量，讓我可以加回之前空間不足時捨棄的音樂。
