The DV I'm currently using is Panasonic NV-GS55 which is my first DV. It is a very nice DV indeed. During the past 3 years' using, I found that the lens was not wide enough in many occasions to accommodate shooting objects. With reference to the menu (I'm a menu eater), there is a Wide Conversion Lens of 0.7x available for this DV and I expected to own one but... it costs over HK$1k officially from Panasonic, which is over 20% of the body's cost! It stopped me and making me not to think of it again!
Yes! I write this because I finally found the solution. Just before the Chinese New Year, I accidentally come across a page from eBay on the offering of unbranded Wide Conversion Lens and having confirmed with the seller, the lens should fit for my DV model and... the lens was arrived today!
Here it is~
The lens uses a 27mm adapter to fit into my DV, which was not mentioned in the ad nor in the seller's emails, I therefore give him a neutral feedback because I have to carry 1 more piece along! It's a trade off since it only costs me some HK$300 including shipping. The price was really good!
The shooting angle improved much because of its 0.45x power and am also satisfied with the lens' quality. I'm glad for not having bought the official lens~ hehe~
